The Official Bulletin of the Junta de Andalucia (BOJA) has published the regulatory framework and the call for applications for the 2025 Andalusian Youth Awards, organized by the Andalusian Youth Institute (IAJ), under the Ministry of Social Inclusion, Youth, Families, and Equality. These awards aim to recognize and publicly acknowledge the work carried out by young individuals who, through their dedication and personal involvement, demonstrate their commitment in various areas of society, as well as the activity and trajectory of groups and entities that positively impact the development of Andalusian youth.
The Andalusian Youth Awards consist of seven categories: Youth Entrepreneurship (with the ‘Starting Entrepreneurship’ and ‘Entrepreneurship Trajectory’ categories), Arts and Culture, Sports, Science and Research, Innovation and Technology, Respect for Equality and Sexual and/or Gender Diversity, Sustainable Development, and Promotion of Socio-labour Inclusion of young people with disabilities.
Additionally, there is the honorary mention ‘Young Municipality of the Year’ for the locality that, at the proposal and judgment of the jury, has excelled in carrying out programs and actions related to youth in the twelve months prior to this call.
Young Andalusian individuals or residents in Andalusia (generally understood as individuals between 14 and 35 years old), as well as groups of young people, groups, entities, companies, and organizations and institutions can apply for candidacy. Optionally, applications can be supported by recommendation letters motivated by public or private entities, entities registered in the Andalusian Youth Participation Entities Registry, Public Administrations, and regulated educational centers, including universities.
Legal entities can submit their application and any additional documentation they wish to provide exclusively through electronic means in the Electronic Registry of the Andalusian Administration. On the other hand, individuals must also submit the application and supporting documentation, preferably through this registry.
The application period is two months from the day following the publication of the call in the Official Bulletin of the Junta de Andalucia, meaning it will remain open until July 7th.
The awards are purely honorary and do not confer any economic rights. In each category, the awardees will receive a sculpture with the inscription ‘Andalusian Youth Awards’ at its base. The awarded young people and groups will be honored at a public event organized by the Junta de Andalucia.
All information about the 2025 Andalusian Youth Awards is available in the BOJA number 84, dated May 6th
