The Seville City Council, through the Triana District, has unveiled the poster announcing the Holy Week in Triana 2025, a piece by the painter José Cabrera Lasso de la Vega featuring the Virgen de la Esperanza de Triana and El Cachorro, framed in vibrant colors and traditional Triana ceramics.
The delegate of Major Festivals and the Triana District, Manuel Alés, emphasized that «the brushes of the artist José Cabrera Lasso de la Vega have given us this work that perfectly announces the days of joy in our neighborhood in a very special year where the Virgen de la Esperanza de Triana and El Cachorro are the main protagonists.»
The event, held at the Royal Parish of Santa Ana, was attended by the parish priest Manuel Soria and presented by the journalist José Manuel Peña. All under the watchful gaze of the Cristo de las Tres Caídas, who presides over the quinario in this temple during this week.
This announcement is a prelude to the one that the Triana journalist Pablo Sánchez will make with the proclamation of the Holy Week in Triana, which will take place on April 3 at 8:30 p.m. at the Parish of Santa Ana.
Two protagonists chosen by the brotherhoods of La Estrella, La Esperanza de Triana, La O, El Cachorro, San Gonzalo, and Pasión y Muerte, to which La Cigarreras is added.
In this regard, Alés pointed out that «the brotherhoods of Triana have chosen two protagonists who are a sure bet to announce Holy Week in our neighborhood in a Lenten season that is approaching. A celebration that we have been working on with strength and enthusiasm for months.»
