The Ministry of Culture and Sports, through the Andalusian Institute of Flamenco (IAF), has opened the call – published in the Official Gazette of Andalusia number 111 of June 12, 2025 – for grants to promote the associative fabric of flamenco in Andalusia for 2025, with a maximum budget of 65,000 euros. The deadline for submitting applications will be until July 3, that is, 15 business days from the first business day following its publication.
This line of incentives, as detailed by the Minister of Culture and Sports, Patricia del Pozo, «completes the programs of activities that have this year the flamenco peñas as protagonists: the Andalusian Circuit of Flamenco Peñas and the Andalusian Circuit of Young Flamencos.» In total, 350,000 euros will be invested in the associative fabric of flamenco to fulfill the commitment acquired with the sector, as established by the Flamenco Law, which recognizes peñas as essential non-profit cultural entities for the promotion and preservation of flamenco in its various manifestations.
Thus, this year 250,000 euros will be allocated to the Andalusian Circuit of Peñas, managed by the Andalusian Agency of Cultural Institutions of the Ministry, which represents a 20% increase compared to the amount that had been allocated to the program since 2017. On the other hand, these entities have hosted in recent weeks the provincial phases of the Andalusian Circuit of Young Flamencos carried out in collaboration with provincial federations and the Andalusian Youth Institute (IAJ), a program aimed at showcasing flamenco and creating opportunities for the creation and attraction of new audiences among young people.
Specifically, the grants for the associative fabric are intended for entities that have among their statutory purposes the development and promotion of activities that contribute to the promotion and dissemination of flamenco as an element of Andalusian culture. They must be registered in the corresponding Public Registry of Andalusia and have their registered office in Andalusia. Federations of flamenco associations are excluded from this call.
