
The Ministry of Health and Consumption, through the General Secretariat of Public Health and R&D&I in Health, announces non-competitive grants worth 1,216,508 euros to fund projects in areas of excellence in Biomedicine and Health Sciences and international collaboration within the framework of the Horizon Europe Program. These funds have significantly increased compared to 2024, when 500,000 euros were allocated for the same purpose. This will allow for the awarding of more projects than in the previous edition.
This call for proposals, governed by the Order of the Ministry of Health and Consumption of August 1, 2022, which approves the regulatory bases for the granting of grants, in a non-competitive concurrence regime, in the field of health and consumption (BOJA number 151, August 8), modified by the Order of August 10, 2023 (BOJA of August 17), has been published in BOJA number 113 (
Non-profit entities legally established with R&D&I activity in Biomedicine and Health Sciences in Andalusia are eligible for these grants.
Lines called
The projects submitted must correspond to specific lines of subsidy, such as Line 1, which focuses on promoting the generation of knowledge in areas of excellence in biomedicine and health sciences through Research, Development, and Innovation.
In this line, expenses for co-financing research personnel and support technicians for research and innovation programs funded by other public or private agencies carried out between the fiscal years 2021 to 2025 will be eligible for funding. The maximum amount that can be financed per project will be 125,000 euros.
Through the grants, the aim is to improve the quality of research and enhance capabilities, optimize resources, and position oneself in the global ecosystem of science and technology.
Likewise, initiatives can also be submitted to Line 6, which selects R&D&I projects in Health for international collaboration within the framework of the Horizon Europe Program.
Activities integrated into international collaborative projects that promote the internationalization of research and innovation in the public health system of Andalusia and foster collaboration in addressing society’s health problems that have successfully applied to calls approved by European associations of the Horizon Europe Program (‘Transforming Health and Care System (THCS): HEALTHCARE OF THE FUTURE and ERA4Health’) will be eligible for funding, with a maximum duration of four years.
The maximum amount that can be financed per project will be 250,000 euros if the group participates as a coordinator in the European association, and 125,000 if it participates as an associate.
These European partnerships are regulated in Regulation (EU) 2021/695 as an initiative of the Member States and associated countries, through the association of public or private entities, with the aim of addressing European or global challenges in cases where they allow the objectives of the Horizon Europe Program to be achieved more effectively than through the Union’s solo action.
