Sevilla City Council is organizing another edition of the circuit of five races in different districts of the city, two of which have already been completed. Following the Nervión-San Pablo race on March 9, we now have the Parque del Tamarguillo race, held today.
With 7636 registered participants, this race circuit is proving to be a success, breaking participation records and establishing itself as a significant popular event in Seville’s sports scene.
The 10-kilometer race started at 9:00 am and, after completing the route through the East district, ended with the victories of Said el Bouchikhi in the male category, setting a time of 31:44, and Lucía Pérez in the female category, with a time of 36:32.
At 9:45 am, the 5-kilometer race began with 507 participants joining in after completing half of the route from the 10K race. Between 9:30 and 10:30 am, the finish line of the Parque del Tamarguillo Race, located on Avenida de Séneca in front of the Alcosa Sports Center, welcomed thousands of participants in this race. After the adult races, the school races began, ranging from cadet to pre-benjamin categories, with 2,679 registered participants completing different courses adapted to the participants’ ages.
Additionally, the Parque del Tamarguillo Race of the Divina Seguros #Sevilla10 Circuit served to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the Andalusian Sports Medicine Center.
In this regard, the Delegate for Sports and Health Promotion stated, “This municipal government prioritizes sports, as evidenced by the numerous quality sports events we are organizing in Seville and the record participation numbers in them.”
