The president of the Partido Popular of Seville, Ricardo Sánchez, has stated that «the silence» of the president of the Diputación of Seville, Javier Fernández, and the Secretary of Organization of the PSOE of Seville and regional parliamentarian, Rafael Recio, in the face of the cases of «corruption, favoritism, harassment, and electoral fraud surrounding the PSOE is outrageous and intolerable.»
This was pointed out by the popular leader during his speech at the Provincial Executive Committee held this Thursday, who also asked the top officials of the Seville PSOE to «abandon the blind servility to the tyrant Pedro Sánchez, a president in a politically terminal phase,» as reported by the party in a statement.
Sánchez has thus recalled the cases that surround the PSOE. The case of the former socialist leader Francisco Salazar, «very close to Sánchez, who received a public salary from the Dos Hermanas City Council for years without performing any professional duties, turning the Nazarene council into a political fiefdom in the service of sanchismo,» and who is also «accused as a perpetrator of women.»
In line with the above, he has insisted that this latest case turns the PSOE «into a real disgrace and the height of cynicism,» because «they have been selling a cardboard feminism, handing out moral superiority cards, while in their own ranks they protect those who abuse power against women.»
A case, he pointed out, «is not isolated, it is a symptom.» Thus, he also referred to «the shelter provided by socialism» to the provincial deputy and member of the socialist executive, Francisco José Toajas, convicted of workplace harassment against a female employee.
«From the PP, we have the responsibility to point it out without complexes,» he said, to ensure that, «against the partisan and covering-up use of the PSOE, we defend clean institutions and respect for women, not just in words, but in deeds.»
In relation to cases of corruption, he also recalled the buying of votes in Albaida del Ajarafe, a scheme currently under judicial investigation, which directly implicates local and provincial socialist leaders, as well as close relatives of public officials. «A case that demonstrates the modus operandi of the sanchismo plumbers, working in the shadows to gain power at any cost,» he emphasized.
In this context, Sánchez stated that «we must not forget the cases of Huévar del Aljarafe and Burguillos, which demonstrate a worrying pattern of systematic corruption of the PSOE in the province of Seville.» The former socialist mayors of Huévar, Rafael Moreno and Aurea Moreno Borrego, are facing a 13-year disqualification request from the prosecution for an alleged crime of prevarication, having made irregular hirings of residents.
Furthermore, he indicated that in the municipality of Burguillos, the PSOE «has left a poisoned legacy that has created a hole of 32 million euros, mortgaging future generations.» «Quite a panorama,» he stressed, from which «Fernández and Recio cannot continue to be accomplices, faithful pawns of sanchismo,» who he said «will be dragged down by the same discredit and scorn that their boss already suffers.»
On the other hand, the General Secretary of the PP of Seville, Agustín Aguilera, has stated that for the President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, and the First Vice President of the Government and Minister of Finance, María Jesús Montero, the province of Seville «is always at the bottom, while rewarding those who bend to their political interests.»
In this regard, he criticized that «the Sánchez government only invests in and meets the needs of territories that politically interest him.» «The unique funding for Catalonia is a clear example, Andalusia would lose 14.500 million euros,» he added.
In this sense, and to conclude, he emphasized that while «Montero cedes 100% of the Income Tax to Catalonia, thus breaking the territorial equality established by the Spanish Constitution, Seville continues to wait for vital infrastructure such as the completion of the SE-40 ring road, the N-IV, or the Santa Justa-Airport connection, and the projects that are launched like the Centenario bridge are activated to become targets of kickbacks.»
