The President of the Junta, Juanma Moreno, has asserted that the tourism forecasts for these days are very positive. He highlighted that the provinces of Málaga, Sevilla, and Jaén have an occupancy rate of 90%, and in the coming days, it is expected that the forecasts for the whole of Andalusia will approach 80%, leading to the hiring of around 300,000 people this Easter.
Moreno, who visited the Real Hermandad de Nuestro Padre Jesús del Santo Sepulcro and Nuestra Señora de la Soledad in Málaga, which will carry out a penitential procession on Good Friday, stated that Easter is an act of faith and devotion and a part of the cultural and social identity of Andalusia. He also emphasized that it is one of the major economic attractions and a significant job creator in the Andalusian community.

He emphasized the need to care for and protect this popular devotion, while expressing gratitude for the work carried out by all brotherhoods in every corner of Andalusia, giving their best to preserve these traditions and ensure their continuity from generation to generation.
The Andalusian President expressed his hope for a smooth final stretch and urged everyone to act with prudence and responsibility because «there are many people on the streets during these days,» asking them to follow the instructions provided by public services, who are always ready to assist.
Religious art is a heritage of Andalusia and a driving force for the economy, creating wealth and jobs. 80% of Andalusia’s heritage is related to sacred art, and the Andalusian community is the first to activate a support program for the conservation, protection, and inventory of Andalusian religious heritage.
Currently, over 4,500 Andalusian families depend directly on the trades of sacred art. It is worth noting that since 2019, the Andalusian Government has allocated over 16 million for the conservation, restoration, and inventory of historic religious heritage.
Additionally, there will be a forthcoming call for a new support program for bands and musical groups to purchase instruments amounting to 300,000 euros.
Moreno also visited the Cofradía de Nuestro Padre Jesús El Rico y María Santísima del Amor in Málaga, known for its significant symbolism and baroque aesthetics of the image of the Nazarene. It is planned that this Wednesday evening, during Holy Wednesday, the figure will be carried as a throne bearer in the Fusionadas Brotherhood.
