
Government advisors in the autonomous community have presided over events in the eight Andalusian provinces to celebrate the Day of Andalusia. During these events, distinctions have been awarded to individuals and entities who have stood out for their contribution to the development of the community in each province.
In Almería, the Minister of Educational Development and Training, María del Carmen Castillo, presided over the event, while in Cádiz it was the responsibility of the Minister of the Presidency, Interior, Social Dialogue, and Administrative Simplification, Antonio Sanz, and in Córdoba the responsibility fell on the Ministers of University, Research, and Innovation, José Carlos Gómez Villamandos, and of Justice, Local Administration, and Public Function, José Antonio Nieto. In Granada, distinctions were presented by the Minister of Development, Territorial Articulation, and Housing, Rocío Díaz; in Huelva by the Minister of Social Inclusion, Youth, Families, and Equality, Loles López; in Jaén by the Minister of Sustainability and Environment, Catalina García, and in Málaga by the officials of Economy, Finance, and European Funds and spokesperson of the Junta, Carolina España, of Employment, Business, and Self-Employment, Rocío Blanco, and of Tourism and External Andalusia, Arturo Bernal. Finally, the event was presided over in Seville by the Minister of Health and Consumption, Rocío Hernández, along with the Minister of Culture and Sports, Patricia del Pozo, and the Minister of Industry, Energy, and Mines, Jorge Paradela.
In terms of categories, the Andalusian Flags are awarded in the following distinctions:
· Andalusian Flag of Social Sciences and Humanities.
· Andalusian Flag of the Arts.
· Andalusian Flag of Sports.
· Andalusian Flag of Solidarity and Concord.
· Andalusian Flag of Economy and Business.
· Andalusian Flag of Research, Science, and Health.
· Andalusian Flag of the Projection of Andalusia.
· Andalusian Flag for Environmental Merit.
· Andalusian Flag for Human Values.
Additionally, an Andalusian Flag may be awarded in recognition of the special trajectory of an individual or legal entity, group, or entity, in the defense and promotion of the general interest of the province.
