This award is granted by the #diadeinternet Impulse Committee, which recognizes initiatives, individuals, and organizations that have excelled in the use of new technologies. It is a clear recognition of the policy of the Ministry of the Presidency, Interior, Social Dialogue, and Administrative Simplification to offer a universal, public, and free service to promote digitalization in every corner of Andalucía, especially in rural areas.
The Minister of the Presidency, Antonio Sanz, emphasized that «this award is a boost to the work done by the Punto Vuela extending digitalization to ensure equal opportunities for all Andalusians, regardless of where they live, their age, or their economic status.»
The Committee has recognized the effort made by the Álamos Association through the Punto Vuela La Tejuela for digital inclusion in vulnerable areas and for people with disabilities. It has also valued their work in promoting equal opportunities, providing technological training that transforms lives, facilitates access to employment, and promotes social integration, thus reducing the digital divide and demonstrating the impact of technology on local social transformation.
In this edition of the National Internet Day Awards a total of 251 nominations were submitted, receiving over 35,600 online votes in the following categories: Digital Transformation, Personal Branding and Content Creators, Entrepreneurship and Research, and Digital Citizenship. This year, the Digital Citizenship category was introduced, following the central theme of Internet Day 2025 ‘For a New Generation of Internet committed to people’, to recognize and reward initiatives that improve citizens’ lives through technology.
