The President of the Junta, Juanma Moreno, has stated that the contribution, entrepreneurship, and talent of women are key to the future of Andalusia, while emphasizing the commitment and work of the Andalusian Government for the Andalusian business fabric to be the best, the most dynamic, the most innovative, the most competitive, and the most egalitarian possible.
He has pointed out that the capacity, initiative, resilience, and strength of women are essential for societies to progress and advance, while highlighting their efforts to overcome all kinds of obstacles and embark on an entrepreneurial adventure, an effort that, he said, should be a collective cause. «Societies that progress are those with greater equality quotas,» he added.
Moreno, who held a meeting in the municipality of Martos with the Marteña Business Association, highlighted that Andalusia currently has around 200,000 businesswomen and that over 40% of research personnel are female, in addition to the fact that the gender pay gap has been reduced by more than 8 points.
He expressed that, thanks to the efforts of all, Martos has one of the most active female business ecosystems in all of Andalusia, an example of organization and networking that is yielding very significant results, with a prominent role played by the Andalusian Entrepreneurship Center of Martos, which has been providing its services in this municipality for fourteen years and in others like Higuera de Calatrava and Santiago de Calatrava.
