The Seville City Council officially launched the Corresponsables Plan this Saturday, an initiative to promote reconciliation and responsibility in families in the city. This project has an investment of 329,103 euros, funded by the Andalusian Government through an agreement with the Ministry of Social Inclusion, Youth, Families, and Equality.
«This funding demonstrates the City Council’s commitment to real equality: every euro will be used to promote a balanced distribution of household tasks, care, and education of children and dependents in Seville homes,» highlighted the Equality delegate, José Luis García, at the opening ceremony held at the Las Artes School in Seville Este.
According to the Council’s statement, during this inauguration, interactive workshops were conducted for both young people and families, using educational materials and thematic stations to make the experience more engaging, fun, and educational.
The Corresponsables Plan will provide training until September for students in vocational training, employees of Seville companies, and families in general. Additionally, activities aimed at children aged 3 to 16 will be included during family days.
It was noted that this project also includes complementary activities such as visits to companies, family excursions, and dynamic workshops in educational centers, civic centers, sports clubs, summer schools, and other social spaces. Moreover, it is estimated that the project will impact over 5,000 individuals and be implemented in more than 200 educational centers.
To achieve this, the program will have 18 professionals conducting workshops in municipal parks, collaborating companies, and various associations throughout the city.
«With this initiative, from the José Luis Sanz Government team, we reaffirm our commitment to building a more egalitarian city, where responsibility and reconciliation are fundamental pillars of the well-being of our residents,» García concluded.
