Antonio Sanz emphasized during his speech that «today Andalusia is one of the most attractive regions in Europe to invest, leaving behind the stereotypes that have harmed us so much, and all this through the Andalusian path of moderation, dialogue, and reforms has turned Andalusia into a land that is moving forward and functioning.»
Thus, 10.14 million euros have been allocated for the promotion of the circular economy and alternative fuels. «Its purpose is to support projects developed within the biomass value chains, the production of clean or sustainable fuels, the circular economy, and metal recovery,» explained the counselor. But also for the improvement of infrastructures that are required or need to be implemented to support these initiatives. A project that is of particular interest to the municipalities of Algeciras, San Roque, La Línea de la Concepción, and Los Barrios.
On the other hand, 5 million euros have been allocated to strengthen the green hydrogen industrial ecosystem in Campo de Gibraltar. Antonio Sanz clarified that «the objective is to promote this energy sector as a driver of social and territorial cohesion, facilitating the transition, adaptation, and creation of infrastructures and industrial capacities for the consumption of hydrogen as fuel,» while attracting «investment for the execution of projects and the strengthening of industrial capacity, both as a provider of solutions and as a consumer of hydrogen and its derivatives.»
Antonio Sanz also explained the other three tractor projects aimed at the province of Cádiz. On the one hand, the one aimed at the innovation of the naval industry with an investment of 15.2 million euros to promote the transition to a sustainable, climate-neutral, circular, digital, and resource-efficient economy that generates new industrial opportunities and reinforces the auxiliary naval industry throughout the province.
Secondly, the NET ZERO aeronautical Hub in Jerez will have 17.3 million euros for new industries, activities and certifications, development of advanced products and materials, and alternative fuel infrastructures such as renewable hydrogen.
And thirdly, a New European Bauhaus in the province of Cádiz for which 873,512 euros have been allocated with the aim of promoting the development of an industrial ecosystem in the province that generates efficient and sustainable construction solutions.
The first two projects have open application windows, while the third will be open soon.
The counselor also emphasized that «the integrated incentives and complementary incentives for our entire region also have an impact on this area» with a total budget of 400 million euros with the idea that our industrial sector advances in competitiveness while also improving energy efficiency and promoting tractor projects in the manufacturing industry, the aerospace sector, and advanced logistics in the years 2025 and 2026.
Digitalization and economic growth
Antonio Sanz highlighted that «Andalusia has taken steps towards a much more diversified economy in which the technology sector is becoming the third economic engine.» The counselor emphasized that this transformation «has digitalization as one of its cornerstones thanks to the impulse of a digital strategy with a horizon of 2027 in which more than 1,000 million euros are being invested, of which more than 80 percent have already been invested in just three years.»
«No one will be left behind in the digital life in Andalusia, wherever they live, whatever their income or age,» emphasized Antonio Sanz, while also stating that «the objective is to continue simplifying processes, reducing administrative barriers, speeding up and reducing deadlines, because it is a crucial issue that affects our economy, our society, and, above all, the daily life of companies.»
