Andalucía has once again stood out last month of May for its ability to drive business activity, surpassing the slowdown still being experienced by the overall data in Spain. Thus, the number of Andalusian companies registered with Social Security has increased by 1.55% compared to the same month of the previous year, in contrast to the stagnation once again shown by the overall Spain where this figure reached 0.53%. The Minister of Economy, Finance, and European Funds, Carolina España, has highlighted «that these data confirm the strengthening of the business fabric of the community, and above all show the capacity of Andalusia to lead business growth in Spain, which has positioned itself well above the rest of the country.»
According to Carolina España, this business boost is due to «the joint effort of the Andalusian productive fabric, entrepreneurs, and public policies of the Andalusian Government focused on stability, support for investment, and administrative simplification.» «While signs of stagnation are perceived in Spain as a whole, Andalusia continues to move forward steadily in economic activity, employment, and dynamism in the productive fabric,» she emphasized.
