The thirteen students who have completed the V edition of the Master in Management: Sports Business have successfully passed the corporate project, a real test supervised by an active professional in the sports industry, validating the students’ preparation to enter the job market.
During the closing ceremony, the CEO of Real Betis Balompié, Ramón Alarcón, participated along with RTV Betis director Juan Bustos as the master of ceremonies. Also in attendance were Joaquín García-Tapial, Executive Director at the University Loyola’s Graduate School, Julio Jiménez, master coordinator and director of presidency, and Andrea Inamorato, director of Lifelong Learning and Executive Education.
«We believed that Real Betis had to engage with society and seek talent, and by creating this master’s program with Loyola University, we are very pleased with the results it has produced,» commented Ramón Alarcón.
Joaquín García-Tapial positively assessed the impact of the relationship between the university and the Betis entity on the employability of the students. «We are above 80% when summing up the five editions, and for us, having major entities like Real Betis is crucial,» he detailed.
«The students have a whole lifetime ahead to enjoy all the effort they have put in here,» explained Andrea Inamorato.
On the other hand, Julio Jiménez highlighted the importance of the training the students receive through the master’s program. «We saw a lack of 360-degree training in the industry, and now we are very proud of how these professionals have been integrating into the job market over these five years,» he pointed out.
As is customary before the ceremony, the students enjoyed a match between alumni and current students at the main field of Real Betis sports facilities.
Admission tests will take place on July 3rd, July 24th, September 11th, and September 24th.
Immersive Learning: from the Study Trip in Madrid to Match Days at Benito Villamarin
With the Master in Management: Sports Business, students are prepared to enter the management of any sports entity or company, nationally and internationally, contributing to the advancement and success of the industry.
This postgraduate program is comprehensive and pioneering in Andalusia, starting its fifth edition next October. It has a 100% practical and experiential methodology, focused on areas such as management, finance, marketing, human resources, operations, and business strategy, all applied to the sports industry.
For this purpose, students have received classes from important professionals currently working at Real Betis and external companies such as LaLiga, Legends, ACB, or FIFA. Additionally, around February, they participate in their annual «Study Trip» to visit the main sports facilities and institutions in Madrid, including companies like LaLiga, the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium, the Magic Box, or the Metropolitano Stadium. It is undoubtedly the most enriching practical experience of the MiM: Sports Business, where students immerse themselves for three days in the professional reality of their specialization.
